Learning colours

Would you like your little hero to learn their colours through play while also training their eye-hand coordination? This matching game is a great example of how you can do that. And best of all: it's so easy to make yourself!

What do I need for making this learning activity?

Material

  • Pencil and scissors
  • Coloured paper
  • Coloured balls that match the coloured paper
  • A muffin tin

What do I do now?

  • Use your pencil to draw circles on the coloured paper that will fit nicely into the bases of the muffin tin.
  • Cut out the circles and lay each one in the bases of the muffin tin.
  • Now get the balls ready so your little hero can begin matching the balls to the coloured paper.

Tip!

Change the orientation of the coloured paper with each new round so that the game stays fresh and interesting.

And when your child is a bit older, set out some kitchen tongs for your little hero to use for picking up the balls and placing them into the muffin tin.
